A forehand push is a rally shot, generally used to defend or to receive a serve that you cannot drive against. You will want to find a paddle and a ball. Now, you will hold the grip like shown in the image below this text. You should push at the ball with the side of your paddle that your finger is on. The angle you do this at can differ, as if it is a high ball, you should hit it more downward, where as if the ball is low, you should hit at something more like a 30 or 45 degree angle. As you can see, the backhand push an effective rally shot, as you can view me hitting them consistently well, and on an actual table, them pushes would go in and a consistent player like me can make quite a weapon of these pushes. I can do it in the way that because I can return smashes, I can consistently push the ball back until my opponent misses.
